The Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership supports teacher training and classroom implementation for Mini-Society® in grades three through seven. The purpose of the support is to provide training for prospective Mini-Society instructors in the content and methodology required to successfully implement Mini-Society in their student environment.

Training consists of a minimum of twenty hours of interactive instruction from a certified Mini-Society trainer. Workshops are conducted for twenty-five or more instructors (either from school classrooms or from youth organizations).. Participants increase their knowledge of economics and entrepreneurship while learning the experience-based instructional strategy of the Mini-Society. Participants in the workshop also receive the following set of Mini-Society books written by Dr. Marilyn Kourilsky:

  • The Framework: Experiencing the Real World in the Classroom
  • Entrepreneurship: Debriefing Teachable Moments
  • Economics: Debriefing Teachable Moments
  • Law, Government & Ethics: Debriefing Teachable Moments

Partnerships and grants for implementing Mini-Society are available.
